Let It Go is a song from Disneys 2013 animated feature film Frozen, whose music and lyrics were composed by husband-and-wife songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez. And it is much closer to the original.
The song was performed in its original show-tune version in the film by American actress and singer Idina Menzel in her vocal role as Queen Elsa. Anderson-Lopez and Lopez also composed a slightly different pop version, which was performed by singer Demi Lovato over the start of the films closing credits. A music video was separately released for the pop version.
Let It Go presents the ostracized Queen Elsa, who abandons her kingdom when her magical ability to create and control ice or snow is discovered by the public. Up in the mountains, away from confused and suspicious onlookers, Elsa realizes that she no longer needs to hide her abilities, and declares herself free from the restrictions she has had to endure since childhood. She rejoices in finally being able to use her power without fear, without limits, to let it go, and manipulate snow and icicles to create a living snowman and generate a magnificent ice castle for herself.

The Lyrics of Let It Go:
Let it go
Let it go
Cant hold you back anymore
Let it go
Let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
The snow blows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen
A kingdom of isolation and it looks like Im the Queen
The wind is howling like the swirling storm inside
Couldnt keep it in, heaven knows I tried
Dont let them in, dont let them see
Be the good girl
You always had to be
Conceal, dont feel
Dont let them know
Well, now they know
Let it go
Let it go
Cant hold you back anymore
Let it go
Let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand, and here Ill stay
Let it go
Let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway
Its funny how some distance
Makes everything seem small
And the fears that once controlled me
Cant get to me at all
Up here in the cold thin air
I finally can breathe
I know i left a life behind but Im to relieved to grieve
Let it go
Let it go
Cant hold you back anymore
Let it go
Let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand
And here Ill stay
Let it go
Let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway
Standing frozen in the life Ive chosen
You wont find me, the past is so behind me
Buried in the snow
Let it go
Let it go
Cant hold you back anymore
Let it go
Let it go
Turn my back and slam the door
And here I stand
And here Ill stay
Let it go
Let it go
The cold never bothered me anyway
na na na na na na
Let it go na na na
you go
Let it go
Let it go
Let it go
